Community Engagement

We are committed to engaging landowners, public stakeholders, and members of the local community. We are focused on consistently informing our stakeholders of our activities and facilitating participation in a transparent engagement process. Guided by honesty, accountability, respect, and trust, our goal is to balance community concerns and perspectives with our approach to business, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.

Our Commitment to Community Engagement

Northland has considerable experience and expertise in community and Indigenous engagement and consultation through its preceding projects here in Ontario, and globally in other key markets where we operate.  Engagement, which is followed by community consultation for the lifecycle of a Project has been the key to establishing, building and maintaining excellent community relations for our Projects.

Northland will be holding the first Public Community Meeting for the Dobbin Energy Storage Project on Monday, November 13, 2023 at the Lakefield Marshland Centre located at 65 Hague Boulevard, Lakefield ON, K0L 2H0. Residents in the Project area, and the local communities and the Indigenous communities are invited to attend.
